Koorts komt vaak voor bij kinderen. Meestal wordt koorts veroorzaakt door een virus en gaat het vanzelf over.

U kunt zelf het volgende doen:

• Laat uw kind voldoende drinken.
• Geef rust als uw kind daar behoefte aan heeft.
• Trek uw kind niet te warm aan.
• Geef zo nodig paracetamol als uw kind zich duidelijk niet lekker voelt.

Neem dezelfde dag contact op met de huisarts als:

• uw kind jonger is dan 3 maanden en een temperatuur van 38 graden of hoger heeft
• uw kind erg suf is of moeilijk wakker te krijgen is
• uw kind benauwd is
• uw kind te weinig drinkt of weinig plast
• uw kind steeds zieker wordt

Koorts betekent dat uw lichaamstemperatuur 38 graden of hoger is. Koorts is vaak een teken dat uw lichaam een infectie bestrijdt. Meestal gaat koorts vanzelf over.

U kunt zelf het volgende doen:

• Drink voldoende.
• Neem rust als u zich ziek voelt.
• Draag luchtige kleding.
• Gebruik zo nodig paracetamol als u zich niet lekker voelt.

Neem contact op met de huisarts als:

• de koorts langer dan 5 dagen duurt
• u steeds zieker wordt
• u benauwd bent
• u suf bent of moeilijk wakker te krijgen bent
• u uitdrogingsverschijnselen heeft, zoals weinig plassen
• u een verminderde afweer heeft

Jeuk kan verschillende oorzaken hebben, bijvoorbeeld een droge huid, eczeem, een allergische reactie of een insectenbeet.

U kunt zelf het volgende doen:

• Krab zo min mogelijk.
• Smeer de huid regelmatig in met een vette, ongeparfumeerde crème of zalf.
• Gebruik liever geen heet water tijdens het douchen.
• Vermijd zeep en verzorgingsproducten die de huid kunnen irriteren.

Neem contact op met de huisarts als:

• de jeuk langer dan 2 weken duurt
• de oorzaak niet duidelijk is
• de jeuk ernstig is of u slecht slaapt
• u ook huiduitslag krijgt
• de jeuk over uw hele lichaam zit
• u zich daarnaast ziek voelt

Bij plotselinge zwelling van het gezicht, de lippen of de tong, of bij benauwdheid, moet u direct medische hulp inschakelen.

Heeft u huiduitslag of een plekje op uw arm? Stuur dan eerst 3 duidelijke foto's via MijnGezondheid.net. Zo kan de huisarts vaak dezelfde dag nog kijken wat er aan de hand is en of een afspraak nodig is.

Let erop dat de foto's scherp zijn en bij goed licht zijn gemaakt. Stuur bij voorkeur:

• een overzichtsfoto van de arm
• een foto van dichterbij
• een detailfoto van het plekje of de uitslag
• noteer duidelijk welke klachten u heeft (bijvoorbeeld jeuk of pijn), hoe lang u kalchten heeft en wat u zelf al heeft geprobeerd.  

Lukt het niet om foto's te maken omdat de plek op een intieme plaats zit of omdat u er zelf niet goed bij kunt en niemand heeft die u kan helpen? Neem dan telefonisch contact op met de praktijk.

Neem direct contact op als u zich erg ziek voelt, koorts heeft, benauwd bent of als de huiduitslag snel erger wordt.

Keelpijn gaat meestal vanzelf over binnen 1 tot 2 weken. Vaak komt het door een virus. Antibiotica helpen dan niet.

U kunt zelf het volgende doen:

• Drink voldoende.
• Neem rust als u zich ziek voelt.
• Zuig op een snoepje of neem iets warms te drinken.
• Gebruik zo nodig paracetamol tegen de pijn.

Neem contact op met de huisarts als:

• de keelpijn langer dan 10 dagen duurt
• u erg ziek bent of steeds zieker wordt
• u moeite heeft met slikken of ademen
• u uw mond niet goed kunt openen
• u een zwelling in de hals heeft die snel groter wordt
• u een verminderde afweer heeft

Bij kinderen jonger dan 1 jaar met koorts en keelpijn adviseren wij altijd contact op te nemen met ons.

Een beetje vaginale afscheiding is normaal. Heeft u jeuk, irritatie of witte, brokkelige afscheiding? Dan kunt u bij de drogist een middel tegen een vaginale schimmelinfectie proberen (bijvoorbeeld Canesten).

Gebruik geen zeep, vaginale douche of andere producten in de vagina. Dit kan de klachten erger maken.

Neem contact op met de huisarts als:

• de klachten niet verbeteren
• de klachten vaak terugkomen
• de afscheiding sterk ruikt of een andere kleur heeft
• u pijn heeft in de onderbuik
• u bloedverlies heeft buiten uw menstruatie
• u denkt dat u een soa kunt hebben

Most vaccinations, such as travel vaccinations, can be obtained from the GGD or via websites such as thuisvaccinatie.nl. In our practice, we do not provide these vaccinations.

Repeat medication that you request from us is usually ready at your own pharmacy within two business days.

Repeat prescriptions can be requested via your online file or by phone via the recipe line (option 2). Please note: you always request medication from the hospital or specialized care (such as mental health care) there, as long as you are under treatment.

Call the general practice immediately and choose option 1 for an emergency. In case of danger, always call 112.

You must call the hospital or healthcare institution yourself to make an appointment. At some institutions, such as the Maasstad Hospital, you are asked to call yourself after two business days. You must also call first to make an appointment for an X-ray examination; you can't just walk in.

Most results will be in your online file within a few days. Sometimes it takes longer, for example during extensive research. The doctor often tells this in advance. Of course, you can also call the assistant if you prefer to call.

Within two business days, you will see the results in your online file. The doctor usually includes a brief explanation. Would you prefer to call? Then contact the assistant after two business days.

You can read the doctor's advice via your online file. Do you still have questions? Then you can also ask the doctor online.

You can discuss your wishes for the future with our elderly nurse or nurse specialist. They take the time to do this and record everything in your medical file. Consider, for example, choices about resuscitation, a hospital stay or treatment in the last phase of life. This way, all healthcare providers know what's important to you. Of course, you can also discuss this with your doctor if you prefer.

You only need to do this if asked by the doctor or nurse. You monitor your blood pressure for 5 days. Most of the time, you don't need to specially prepare. When installing a spiral, you can take naproxen 500 mg (available at pharmacies) one hour in advance to reduce abdominal cramps. A visit to the doctor itself costs you nothing extra and does not deduct your deductible. Examinations or treatments that are done outside the general practice (e.g. blood tests or X-rays) are at your own risk. Check with your health insurer what is reimbursed.

This can easily be done via MijnGezondheid.net or by passing it on to the medical assistant.

You can view your file online yourself via MijnGezondheid.net. Do you want a paper copy? That is possible, but this comes at a cost. A request from, for example, a medical advisor must always be in writing, with your consent.

Can't you come? Then always cancel on time, preferably 24 hours in advance. If you do not do this, we will charge you a fee. These costs are not reimbursed by your health insurer.

Do you have a new doctor? Then your file will be requested from us digitally. As soon as it has been transferred securely, we will unsubscribe you. However, you must give permission for this. Consent can be given online with an e-consultation or by calling the assistant. Without a new doctor, we will keep your file for 15 years by law.

Registration is only possible online via the form on our website. In doing so, we also ask for permission to request your medical information from your previous doctor. This way, we immediately have a complete file.
